For this reason, it is regarded by successive governments as a sector of strategic importance for the country's economic development.

Thousands of IT companies have sprung up around the technology universities distributed across more than 20 cities in the country, thereby forming diverse hubs, clusters, and regional entities with a presence throughout the territory.

In cooperation with the government and educational institutions, we participate in talent development training plans in various technologies to develop professionals and meet the growing demand for specialized IT resources.
The Ministry of Education is promoting the creation of technical degree programs in IT at more than a hundred universities and educational centers across the country, and is devising scholarship plans for university and higher-education students pursuing IT-related degrees.
Following the approval of the Law 25.856 Declaring Software Production an Industry and the Law 25.922 on the Promotion of the Software Industry which have provided the sector with a stable regulatory framework and generated tax advantages, the IT industry has positioned itself as the country's most dynamic sector.
A new project by Knowledge Economy Law is moving forward. Once enacted, it will directly impact R&D investment, as well as the creation of highly skilled jobs, foreign currency inflows, and the reduction of the tax burden on companies in the sector. This will foster better conditions for the development of technological innovations by establishing a secure regulatory framework for the IT industry.
